"Shaver Lake has a reputation for offering up some nice sized limits of Rainbow Trout and Kokanee Salmon," says Dick Nichols, the famous local fishing guide. "Yet some anglers don’t have the luck or skill to catch them."

Todd Wittwer's specialty is deep water light tackle trolling for large Kokanee Salmon and rainbow trout using downriggers. On most trips he will put out four rods at various depths and slow troll the latest lures.
Once you hook up, then it's up to you to land this hard fighting inland salmon or feisty trout. Make plans to fish Shaver Lake and try your luck with a professional and courteous guide. While I can't guarantee a boat load of fish everyday, I can tell you any day of the season can produce a boat load of fish.
